Frequently Asked Questions

Why is transcription unavailable?

Local Speech recognition depends on the device, OS version, locale, and Apple's installed recognition assets. Confirm that the English speech asset is available on the device and try again on supported hardware.

Does Podex upload my podcast audio or transcript?

No. Podex is designed for local-first transcription and does not automatically upload audio or transcript text. See the Privacy Policy.

Why did a feed fail to load?

Confirm that the URL is an RSS or Atom feed, that it is reachable from the device, and that the feed includes episode enclosure URLs for audio downloads.

Can I delete audio but keep the transcript?

Yes. Downloaded audio and transcript text are managed separately so you can keep the output that matters and remove large local files when needed.

Can I publish a transcript?

Podex lets you copy or export text for your own workflow. Before sharing transcripts publicly, confirm that you have the rights to do so for the source content.
