Copy and Export

Podex keeps transcripts useful outside the app by producing plain text.

Copy Text

Use copy when you want to paste a transcript into notes, messages, documents, or another local workflow. Copied content uses the current transcript text and does not include the downloaded audio file.

Export a Text File

Export creates a .txt file through the iOS share sheet. The exported file is intended for simple archive, search, and handoff workflows.

Before sharing a transcript, confirm that you have the right to use or disclose the text. Podex is designed for personal transcription first; it does not make transcripts public by default.

Delete Local Content

Episode audio and transcript text are managed separately. This lets you reclaim storage from downloaded audio while keeping a transcript, or delete transcript text while keeping the audio for later playback.
